Ingredients

- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Linguine or angel hair pasta (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp
- Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel and season with salt and black pepper.
- Sauté the Shrimp
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In the same pan, add 2 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in white wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, reducing slightly.
- Stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Combine & Serve
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately over pasta or with warm garlic bread.
Notes
- For a Keto version, serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice.
- To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free pasta or rice noodles.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, add 1 tbsp of heavy cream for a creamy twist.
- No white wine? Substitute with chicken broth for a non-alcoholic version.
